The Rollers’ Manny Matagolai stood not chance against Satbahi’s Luis Abuel. Abeul raked in 15 points with the majority of it being three pointer shot boldly achieved during the first quarters of the game. Teammate Rolly Paraiso did not let his presence in the court ignored as he garnered another 12 points to place near Abuel’s score.
The game started rather slowly in the first ten minutes of the game. Satbahi pushed past the Rollers by two shaky points led by Abuel’s three pointer shots, 20-18. It was during the second quarter where both teams stepped it up a notch and the match moved faster.
Satbahi’s Glenn Aquino garnered 8 points throughout the allotted time to give the Satbahis the edge they needed to surpass the Rollers. Paraiso was then seen on the court exposing his basketball talents once again to basket 6 points. Together the Satbahis were able to balloon the shaky two point lead to a more secure 45-37 deficit.
It was no different story during the second half of the bout. Fueled by revenge, the Satbahis sliced through the game rapidly edging past the Rollers’ reach by end of the third quarter. Together the Satbahis garnered 16 points in the third quarter, 61-55, moving on to the final quarter to finish the kill.
Glenn Aquino reaped 8 points after a few seconds of silence from the Satbahis in the final quarter. Following his endeavors came teammate Luis Abuel who nailed to jump shots with less than two minutes left in the game and the Rollers way behind. Abuel was fouled during the last seconds of the game while on his way up for a jump shot. Abuel granted a chance for two charity shots; he then nailed the second one and before long the game was over with the Satbahis stashing the win safely away from the Rollers, 86-73.
