(MVA) — As the Marianas moves steadily forward in its post‑Super Typhoon Sinlaku recovery, the Marianas Visitors Authority is calling on local businesses and organizations that engage visitors to complete the Marianas Business & Visitor Services Recovery Survey, an essential tool in promoting the islands as international flights resume beginning this weekend.
The survey gathers updated information on business readiness to serve visitors, operating hours, and available services. MVA is collecting this information “to better understand current recovery status, visitor service availability, and anticipated reopening or expansion plans over the next one to three months” and to support accurate tourism recovery updates for travel agents, media, and independent travelers.
“Our islands are getting ready to welcome more visitors as international flights resume with Jeju Air from Seoul-Incheon this weekend, and every business update helps us tell a clear, confident story to our travel partners,” said MVA Acting Managing Director Andy Qin. “By completing this survey, you help us show that the Marianas is open, resilient, and ready to serve.”
Promoting the Marianas ‘Far From Ordinary’ together
As international flights resume, MVA also continues to encourage businesses, government partners, and the community to develop more Far From Ordinary experiences, products, and services that make the Marianas distinct from competing destinations. From cultural activities, nature encounters, and local food experiences, to new tours and visitor services, these offerings help strengthen the destination experience and give travelers more reasons to explore Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
“Our islands have an opportunity to showcase what makes the Marianas Far From Ordinary — rooted in island values, shaped by our diverse community, and powered by local creativity and pride,” said Qin. “We hope these survey responses will also help visitors find new and unique Marianas experiences across Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. Our local life is incredible, and making who we are accessible to visitors is one of the biggest selling points the Marianas has in an increasingly competitive market.”
Who can participate
The survey is open to all Marianas businesses that welcome visitors, including restaurants, cafés, bars, retail shops, tour operators, transportation providers, spas, wellness services, rental companies, and other visitor‑facing services. Businesses can complete the survey online at https://forms.gle/v3gYUkxRjfyeQdm68/. Survey findings will be compiled and shared on MVA’s Tourism Recovery Updates page on mymarianas.com/, as well as its official Korean and Japanese websites, with travel agencies and other partners preparing to relaunch routes, with airlines that are relaunching routes, and through MVA’s monthly e-news to trade and media communications in Korea and Japan.
The survey takes about 3-4 minutes to complete.
