Man to plead guilty to selling meth from parents’ room

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A man is set to plead guilty to dealing methamphetamine in his parents’ room.

On Thursday in the District Court of Guam a plea agreement was filed for Christian Cundiff, who was indicted earlier this year on charges of distributing methamphetamine in 2018.

Since the case was made public in October, very few details surrounding Cundiff’s alleged actions were known until the plea agreement stated he sold meth to another person on October 12, 2018.

According to the plea agreement, Cundiff “knowingly distributed methamphetamine hydrochloride” to another person in exchange for $1,625.

“Cundiff obtained the drugs from his parents and Cundiff conducted this sale within the property of Cundiff’s and his parents’ residence in Hågat, Guam. The drugs that Cundiff sold were packaged inside one small ziploc bag,” according to the plea agreement.

The total amount of meth sold was determined by a forensic chemist to be 3.5 net grams with 98% purity.

On May 24, 2019, a federal search warrant at the Hågat residence resulted in the seizure of $3,790 in cash and drug paraphernalia such as cut straws, baggies and digital scales in Cundiff’s parents’ room, according to the plea agreement.

No date has been set for Cundiff’s change-of-plea hearing.

Cundiff’s co-defendant in the case, Jesse Peredo, pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to go to trial on Jan. 11, 2024, federal court records show.
