Chin to campaign in U.S.

Chin said that he skipped the President’s Day celebration in Oregon during the first week of June because he had to stay in Palau when President Remengesau traveled to the United States.He said although his running mate Sen. Alan Seid was there to campaign , many supporters living in the United States have requested to personally see him.Chin said his wife Miriam was also present during the President’s Day on his behalf.Chin said although he has been campaigning, he has not forgotten his duties as the country’s Vice President.He said he will personally campaign in the U.S. but will make sure that he will not neglect his work as vice president and Justice Minister.“My duty as vice president is my first priority and when I have time to go then I will campaign in the West Coast,” Chin said.He said his team has gathered enough signatures , way past the required signatures by the Election Commission.He said the team has acquired over 2,000 signatures but has decided to put on hold the filing to accommodate the request of his constituents who wants to sign the petition.Chin said the petition will be filed by August.
