Humanities Council looking for project coordinator

THE Northern Marianas Humanities Council wants to hire a project coordinator to assist with digital archiving and programmatic activities, Executive Director Leo Pangelinan said.

The position’s starting pay is $13 per hour and is offered on a part-time basis. The project coordinator can work between 20 and 30 hours a week.

Duties include assisting with creating, storing, organizing, and retrieving digital records; collecting and compiling data for reports; providing logistical support for council events and activities; coordinating and implementing plans to promote council opportunities, engage audiences, and enhance the council’s visibility; and provide administrative support to the executive director as needed.

The project coordinator is also expected to provide critical support to two new projects — the Pacific Islands Humanities Network and Inafa’måolik-Tipiyeew Matters.

Pangelinan said more information about these new projects is forthcoming. The Humanities Council administers 20 other programs annually, and the project coordinator would have a role supporting these programs as well.

Pangelinan said interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and their resumé by Nov. 27. His email is leop@nmhcouncil.org/. The Humanities Council can also be contacted at (670) 235-4789.
