Sufa Vice President Joe Salas said the proceeds of the tournament will be used to pay the travel cost of NMI’s Sufa Softball team that will compete in the 4th Annual Labor Day Softball Tournament that will be held in Las Vegas from August 27 to Sept. 4.
Salas said that aside from Sufa team members there are also many NMI descents who are with the other softball teams participating from different states like California and Oregon.
The Sufa team he said is composed of 15 members, all of NMI descents with relatives in the US.
The first game of the fundraiser tournament here will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., of July 11 at the Miguel “Tan-Ge” Basa Pangelinan Softball Field, the second and the third games will be from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m., at the Capital Hill Ballfield, and final game at tentative venue.
Entrance fee will be $150.
Winning team of the fundraiser tournament will get $150 for first prize, $75 second prize and $50 for third prize.
