Six teams were registered into the tournament. Five of the teams represented the villages of Ngaraard State and one was Kanai’s team. The teams and their sponsors were as follows: Chollywood (Chol), Joan Hinang Demei; Elabama (Elab), Minister Elbuchel Sadang; ULI (Ulimang), Vice-President Elias C. Chin; Ngebuked (Ngebuked), Johnson Toribiong; Tachukal (Ngkeklau), Jennifer Sugiyama-Yano; and Adzikvil, Gibson Kanai.Dwayne Tochi, the tournament director, said that ground rules were set prior to the tournament, one of which disallowed anyone who plays on any current softball leagues or baseball leagues in Palau from playing in the tournament. Due to time constraint, the tournament was set to a single elimination schedule. In the first game of the tournament, Chollywood easily defeated ULI (9-6). Tachukal followed suit as it tortured. Adzikvil struggled with Elabama, but managed to score a little more runs. Tachukal, having the most runs against its opponent, was rewarded a rest and waited to play against the winner of a game between Adzikvil and Chollywood.Adzikvil tortured Chollywood with mountainous scores and the game was called by way of the “mercy rule.”In the final game, Tachukal fought hard but Adzikvil fought harder and won the final game. Adzikvil won the tournament champions title. Dalton Olkeriil won the tournament MVP trophy. The final standings of the tournament placed Adzikvil at 1st, Tachukal 2nd, Chollywood 3rd, Elabama 4th, Ngebuked 5th, and ULI 6th.Adzikvil, Tachukal, and Chollyood received trophies courtesy of Senator Hokkons Baules.
