“THANK you for the inquiry. At this time, we do not currently have any plans to change our Saipan postal operations,” Saipan Postmaster Harry Wilcox said when asked about delivering mail and packages to homes and businesses now that the island’s house-numbering project is being implemented.
A U.S. Postal Services employee who requested anonymity told Variety that the cost of home delivery is a factor that has to be considered by USPS.
The current system is more feasible, the staffer said.
At present, residents get their mail and packages from the post office which is expected to receive a high volume of mail and packages because of the holiday season.
