Ngaraard State Gov. promotes education

The Office of the Governor of Ngaraard State has made every effort to show its presence and support of Ngaraard State Elementary School each week.

“Every Monday we have arranged for speakers to talk to the students during the school’s morning assembly,” a state official said. “We began this program last year.”The Office of the Governor has, since the beginning of the school year, asked individuals to volunteer to speak to students during the school’s Monday morning assembly.“We try as much as we can to get guest speakers who are citizens of the state,” said the official. “We hope to inspire the students to continue working hard in school so that someday they may be successful and satisfied with their lives.”The guest speakers have about 10 minutes to talk to the students.  Speakers are required to introduce themselves; however, they are free to talk about any aspect of education, which they think might be inspirational or meaningful to the students.According to teachers at the school, the program is a good way to begin the week.  The teachers said that the students anticipate the Monday morning assembly to “see who the guest speaker would be and determine what village of the state he or she is from.”“We have a new face here every week,” a teacher said, “and the students get a broader perspective of what education can do for an individual.”Further, the students have had the opportunity to listen to delegates, lawyers, media personnel, farmers, fishermen, doctors and nurses, and others.  All have relayed this message “education opens doors of opportunities.”The Office of the Governor of Ngaraard State plans to “keep running this simple program that promotes education.” In addition, “we will continue to call upon the citizens of the state to volunteer a little of their time to inspire our children to succeed in school.”
