MINA winners Jiro Takai, Abe Quitugua, Marty Taisacan and Joey Tudela pose with their prizes during the awards ceremony of the 38th Annual Saipan International Fishing Derby on July 17, 2022 at the Pacific Islands Club. During the derby, the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance also held a marine debris contest with $1,500 worth of prizes. Jiro Takai brought in a plastic container; Abe Quitugua, plastic; Marty Taisacan, cardboard box; and Joey Tudela, plastic wrapper. The Tan Siu Lin Foundation was also recognized for supporting MINA’s marine debris contest.
