The basketball cup aims to instill sportsmanship and encourage young people to stay away from smoking and illegal drugs.
Coach, and one of the event organizers, Benjie Ganapin, said they “we’re hoping that more groups will put up more leagues for our young people” to foster good character.
“We can really see the inspiration and motivation of these young people to be involved in sports rather than any other bad influences,” Ganapin added.
He encourages schools, churches, and socio-civic and non-government organizations to form their own basketball league for the youth.
The 3-on-3 Basketball Challenge Cup was in partnership with Youth on the Rock of Grace Christian Ministries.
