The car was donated by Ivan Rudimch and was turned over to the officers and board members of the Palau Red Cross.
The car will be used as a grand prize for raffle which will be held in May.Tickets will be sold at $1 and proceeds of the raffle will go to Red Cross services. The Board also had their first Board meeting on Wednesday and discussed incoming projects.Among the activities that the Board discussed are the Presidential Fund Raising and the walkathon which will be held on May 8 and May 9.The Presidential Fund Raising was used to be held in November but President Johnson Toribiong decided to hold it in May to coincide with the World Red Cross Day event which will be happening on May 8.Toribiong is also the Honorary President of Palau Red Cross.Former Senator Santy Asanuma is now the Red Cross Chairman while Gilbert Demei is the Vice Chairman.Emery Wenty of the Ministry of Education is the Secretary and Treasurer. Miriam Chin is the Executive Director.Members of the Board are Debra Neas, Rev. John Paul Dlilau, Dorin De Leon, Marvin Ngirutang, Mary Ann Delemel and Maria Rehuher.
