Last March, 7,148 tourists came to Palau while 7,500 visited during the same period last year.
Japan had the most visitors, 2,938, followed by Taiwan with 1, 423, and South Korea, 1,131.The number of tourists from Japan dropped from 3,361 in December to 2,917 in January.This increased in February to 3,088 before slightly dropping to 2,938 last month. The total number of visitors from January through March also decreased.There were 7,656 visitors in January and 6,964 in February.In January, 1,905 Koreans visited Palau, but this figure went down to 1,113 in February.Taiwanese visitors totaled 1,248 in January and 1,392 in February.
