Toribiong marked his special birthday with a simple get together and potluck with his cabinet ministers and employees at the Council of Chiefs office , Capitol in Melekeok.
“I wish for a more prosperous Palau through improved opportunities in the private sector and a much improved and a closed and more beneficial relationship with the U.S.,” Toribiong said.Asked by reporters of his personal wish, he said, “better health, warmer and close relationship with my family, relatives and friends.”He also said that he is also wishing a close working relationship with the traditional and elected leaders in the state and national levels.He said most importantly, he is celebrating his birthday with a wish of “peace, happiness and prosperity for all Palauans.”
