Except for his brother Jeffrey C. Sablan of the U.S. Army, and his deceased father Isidro Atalig Sablan, all his family members attended the ceremony for the 42-year-old naval officer.
He thanked his family, specially his father “who had a significant impact on [my] naval career.”
Patrick C. Sablan resides with his family — wife Eileen and daughter Patricia — in Oak Harbor, while his son John lives in Hamilton, Montana.
His mother Angie C. Sablan, sisters Nadine, Evelyn and Mildred and brother Sid Jr. are residing on Saipan, while his brother Michael C. Sablan is with the Marine Corps.
Chief Petty Officer Sablan joined the Navy on Aug. 27, 1985 in Tamuning, Guam.
He graduated from Marianas High School earlier in the same year and has an associate degree in business administration from Columbia College in Missouri.
He is currently pursuing his bachelor of science degree in business administration, majoring in human resource management, at the same college.
His last assignment with the Navy was at Naval Hospital in Oak Harbor, Washington.
