Island Paradise is a local company that has been sending old cars and other type of metals for processing overseas.
Now the company is planning to include old lead acid or car batteries in its next shipment.
Yap EPA, in collaboration with Island Paradise, is asking everyone to submit old lead acid batteries for disposal.
Yap EPA also advised the people to call its office and make arrangements for the collection of used batteries.
Although Island Paradise cannot make payment for the batteries, Yap EPA is still encouraging the public to submit used lead acid batteries for shipment and proper disposal off-island.
