Westco were leading by five points at the end of first quarter then, Michael Achas, Jerry Hidalgo and Gil Gapor blasted from outside the rainbow line in the second quarter and helped San Roque take the lead.
While Randy Pelisamen invested in two-point shots Westco clamped on San Roque’s offense and limited their score to eight points in the third quarter.
But Achas’ hands went on burning in the fourth as he kept San Roque’s edge this time, with a big help from Capuli and Ryan Paras.
Capuli who did not play in the first half of the game scored 14 points including three triple shots.
E&E 80, Chinatown 71
Mark Francisco helped set the lead and Danny Bicera rampaged in the final quarter leading to E&E’s 80-71 win against Chinatown.
Francisco and Elmer Pineda maintained the lead in the second quarter with a series of fast breaks and inside plays.
Chinatown’s Bert Laquian however registered six points including two from the foul line to tie the game and inched their way up for a one-point lead in the third quarter.
Roger Herrera also fired shots from behind the arc and tallied 14 points in the fourth quarter to close the gap.
E&E however shortened the time left with tightened defense as Bicera continued to fire two-pointers.
