As the September month enters, the ILI total for the month of August comprises only 23 percent of all 861 ILI cases recorded to date since May 1.
The number of confirmed H1N1 cases remains at 38 with no related H1N1 deaths. The public is again reminded however that people namely pregnant women and those who have underlying conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, or other chronic illnesses should seek medical advice and treatment if experiencing any flu-like symptoms.Clinics that were suspended three weeks ago, namely surgical clinic, orthopedic clinic, gynecology clinic, prostate and breast clinics have resumed their daily hours, while all Outpatient Department (OPD) night-time clinics remain suspended.Despite the decrease in number of ILI cases, the Alternative Care Site (ACS) remains open at this time to treat all remaining ILI encounters that might still be present. The ACS is open on weekdays from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Weekend and after hours ILI cases will be seen at the Emergency Room (ER).
