THE Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a grass fire that broke out on Capital Hill Thursday afternoon.

DFEMS public information officer Derek Gersonde said the fire was reported at 1:11 p.m.
DFEMS then dispatched Engine-2 from the Garapan Fire Station and Engine-5 from the Kagman Fire Station. They remained on standby for residential cover exposure, Gersonde said.
No reported injuries and treatments were provided, but DFEMS is asking residents to call 911 if they are experiencing difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.
