In my opinion, Juan Pan should not treat the people of the CNMI with such disrespect and contempt. He should not take our voters for granted and pocket our votes even before they are actually counted AFTER the election polling is done. As a businessman, Mr. Pan should know better than to count his chickens before they are hatched, nine months before the vote. This is way too premature and a lot can happen in the intervening months between now and Election Day.
I personally feel that a gubernatorial candidate should be humble and respectful of the people. He should not take people for granted or be too arrogant or over confident. In a time like this, we need humble, prudent, and even-tempered leaders, not arrogant hotheads making premature or naughty pronouncements. I am disappointed with Juan Pan. I wish he would display more respect and humility in keeping with our island culture.
