Photographs of WWII Saipan and Tinian civilians

MY wife and I put together a brief video (best viewed in HD) with select U.S. National Archives photographs and caption cards in time for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Tinian. Some images can be found in publications, while others have not made it there yet.

I would be happy to offer these or other Mariana Islands Campaign photographs gratis for dissertation research, monographs, or exhibitions.

These have always touched me deeply. I know that the Marine officer in front of the cave with the woman and children on Saipan is Robert B. Sheeks. Please let me know if you or your contacts can identify any other individuals or specifics not mentioned in the typewritten descriptions. YouTube made the video age restricted. You would need to sign into a Google/YouTube account to access it.
