BOI Director Jenkins Mariur said the passports of two workers are still in process pending deportation. But once be completed by their country, they will deport them immediately.
Mariur, pending deportation did not want to reveal the nationalities of the foreign workers.
The two foreign workers was followed by the first worker deported by the BOI last year with the same violation.
Mariur explained that most of the cases of the foreign workers being deported were due to non-renewal of permits or employers terminated contracts before the expiration of the working permits.
Mariur urged employers to comply with the labor laws by ensuring workers have valid permits.
The BOI has designated inspectors to conduct regular inspection of foreigner workers’ permits.
