A student pursues career in art, early

In an interview with Eungel, she said that she had decided while she was in grade school to be a great artist – one whose drawings would someday inspire people.

“I can see my future as clearly as the images I draw,” she said. “I love drawing and sketching and I am going to be a great artist.”According to Eungel, she is a self-taught artist.  She has not taken any formal art courses nor has anyone directed or guided her when she sketches or draws.  Moreover, she keeps most of drawings and sketches and tries to improve on them from time to time.Eungel, according to her aunt, has meticulously kept many of her sketches and drawings and safeguards them.“Her drawings and sketches are wonderful originals and are well kept,” her aunt said. “She is really into drawing and though she is encouraged to continue drawing, we hope she does not abandon her studies.”Eungel added that she is well aware that she needs to complete high school education in order to be able take art courses in college.  In addition, she said she does not want to an “uneducated artist.” “I hope to be taking college level art courses within the next five years,” she said. “I would be very happy to someday hold a college degree and be an artist as well. I will be a recognized artist who not only produces great artwork, but also one who can read and write as well,” she said.  “I need to be able to calculate, too.”An artist is a person who uses imagination, talent, or skill to create works that may be judged to have aesthetic value.  Eungel is, by definition and by her conviction, an artist in the making.
