INDEPENDENT gubernatorial candidate Lt. Gov. Arnold Indalecio Palacios is very thankful to all the CNMI people in the U.S. who met with the Arnold-Dave 2022 Team during its recent campaign tour on the mainland.
Led by Palacios’ running mate, Saipan Mayor David Mundo Apatang, the AD 2022 Team reached out to the CNMI people who are residing in the U.S. and asked for their support in the Nov. 8, 2022 election.
Apatang and the AD Team met with the teams participating in the 2022 CNMI Labor Day Softball Tournament in Tacoma, Washington state, and the CNMI families in Seattle before they proceeded to Beaverton, Oregon for another gathering there.
While in Beaverton, the AD Team received calls from various supporters in Killeen, Texas. Apatang and the AD team are headed there today, Thursday, for another gathering before they return to the Commonwealth on Sept. 12.
Palacios also wants to thank all those who arranged and facilitated the campaign events for the AD Team in the U.S.
He said he and Apatang are humbled by and are very grateful for all the encouragement and the support of the CNMI people in the U.S.
“That’s what’s really driving the AD Team’s successful off-island campaign. Without the support of the CNMI people living in the U.S. the campaign tour wouldn’t have been extended,” he said.
The time that the AD Team spent with the CNMI communities in the U.S. may be short because time is limited, but “we continue to be grateful for the support and encouragement of the people who from the very beginning have inspired us to run,” Palacios said.
He urged CNMI voters living in the U.S. to go out and cast their absentee ballots.
Second lady Wella Palacios would also like to express her special thanks to the CNMI people who met with the AD Team in the U.S. as well as the players who participated in the CNMI Labor Day Softball Tournament.
For his part, the AD 2022 campaign chairman, former Speaker Oscar M. Babauta, said, “I’d like to extend my gratitude to Mayor Apatang for volunteering to meet with the CNMI communities in the U.S.” Babauta is likewise grateful to the CNMI voters in the U.S. who stand united behind Palacios and Apatang.
On behalf of the AD 2022 campaign committee, Babauta expressed his “deep appreciation” to the CNMI families in the U.S. who opened their doors to Mayor Apatang and the AD team members who were with him.
