Free electric standing fans for veterans

THE CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with the DPW-Energy Division Office State Energy Program, will host a week’s long distribution event to encourage and assist military service member veterans in the CNMI residing on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, in reducing the cooling costs of their homes during cooler days by encouraging the use of electric standing fans, as an option, in lieu of air-conditioning units, which also helps lower energy use.

Beginning Jan. 13, 2025 and ending on Jan. 17, 2025, the CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce it will be distributing one electric standing fan per veteran, funded under the Energy Education, Efficiency, and Conservation Program, a community outreach program that aims to lower energy use and electricity costs in the CNMI and provide information to educate the community about the importance of energy efficiency and conservation efforts in the CNMI.

To avail themselves of an electric standing fan, military service member veterans residing on Saipan are asked to please visit the Office of Veterans Affairs to obtain a fan voucher, on Anatahan Drive, Capital Hill, Saipan Bldg 1364. Veterans are asked to please bring for verification a copy of a military service verification, or a copy of a DD214. Upon verification, a fan voucher will be issued by the Office of Veterans Affairs for the redemption of a standing electric fan at the Department of Public Works-Energy Division Office, Bldg. 1337, located at 12565 Ascension Drive, Capital Hill, Saipan

Veterans residing on Rota and Tinian are asked to please contact or visit the following designated respective representatives and offices listed below to obtain a fan voucher:
