THE Lions Clubs International District 204 conducted a coin drive Saturday at the San Jose intersection and at the Sabalu Market in Garapan for the Lahaina, Maui fire victims. The district will coordinate with Lions Clubs in Hawaii in remitting a donation of $2,000.
“We are thankful to our community for their generosity — we always have the heart to help those in need, and we are grateful to all volunteers,” Region Chair Annamae Adaza said.
“The amount is not so significant compared to other donations but the important thing is we did our part and acted on it,” she added.
Aside from the coin drive, individuals and clubs donated as well: District Governor Blanca A. Imbo, Immediate Past District Governor Loisa Cabuhat, District 204 Administrator Monito Co, Sandra Bartolome, Marie Javier of SM and Eagle Construction, Saipan Pacific Lions Club, Saipan Eagle Lions Club, and Guahan Lions Club.
The Region 2 Lions consist of 12 autonomous clubs: Saipan Fil-American, Saipan Unity, Saipan Marianas, Saipan Alliance, Saipan Natibu, Saipan Centennial, Saipan Pacific, Saipan Fitbeat, Saipan Infinity, Saipan Beacon, Saipan Eagle, and Saipan Legends.
