THE Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the State Rehabilitation Council, is mandated to conduct a triennial Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment to capture the current needs of individuals with disabilities. This said, we are asking for the public’s support to help with this endeavor by taking one of two surveys, which were created by our partners at San Diego State University.
The first survey — called Individual Survey — is designed and intended for individuals with disabilities. If you are a former, current, or potential consumer (or client) of OVR, your input into the needs assessment will more effectively help us to meet the needs of people with disabilities residing in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
The second survey — called Community Partners Survey — is for service providers or vendors who have experience working with OVR consumers. Your participation in the survey will bring greater understanding of the needs of the population that we serve.
To access both surveys, please visit OVR’s website at www.ovrgov.net/. The surveys are anonymous and have a deadline of Jan. 5, 2024. Results of the surveys will help to inform the development of a brand new OVR State Plan due next year. If there are any questions regarding the survey, please contact Arlene Yamagata, OVR case services manager, at (670) 322-6537/38, or you may email Dr. Chaz Compton at [email protected]/.
It is the mission of OVR to increase employment and promote independence among eligible individuals with disabilities throughout the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
