(Special Advertising Feature) — Tinian Western Lodge and Bar-K Diner, the island’s home for great food and premium lodging, are excited to announce Tinian’s inaugural Oktoberfest celebration this Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Tinian Conference Center.
Authentic German food, beer, music and more await as the vibrant and unforgettable Oktoberfest celebration will illuminate the often-overlooked historical connection between the NMI and Germany.
In the past few years, Triple J has expanded its Tinian operations to include Tinian Wholesale to Everyone, Tinian Western Lodge, Bar-K Diner, Tinian Garden B&B, Hertz, and a number of catering and construction projects. This year’s Oktoberfest celebration is the latest project from Triple J Saipan, Inc. CEO Robert H. Jones and his wife Pilar, who is half German.
“Our Oktoberfest celebration is not just about the food, the beer, or the contests. It’s about celebrating the unique historic bond between the NMI and Germany,” said Jones. “I encourage everyone to join us for a night of fun, cultural enrichment, and community spirit.”
Triple J Saipan Inc’s General Manager for Tinian Operations, Randy Steele, said the venue will be adorned with German decorations and flags, creating an atmosphere that will transport guests to Germany itself.
“We’ve spared no effort to ensure an authentic German experience. Our staff will be dressed in traditional German attire, adding to the ambiance, and ensuring that every guest feels part of the celebration,” said Steele. “We will offer premium German beer, a delectable array of German cuisine, and our entertainment will feature the best of German music and traditional Oktoberfest activities, all at reasonable prices.”
Steele said there will be prizes for the German spelling contest, the Yodeling contest, and for the person who shows up in the best traditional German outfit. There will also be prizes for the winner of the pretzel toss, the fastest bratwurst eating contest, and the winner of the beer stein holding contest.
The fun gets underway this Saturday, October 7, at the Tinian Conference Center located inside the Tinian Western Lodge and Bar-K Diner. Doors open at 6 p.m., rain or shine.
