Acting Gov. David M. Apatang has proclaimed the week of May 21-27, 2023 as Emergency Medical Services Week, with this year’s theme, “Where Emergency Care Begins,” and May 24, 2023, as Emergency Medical Services for Children Day. At the proclamation ceremony on Monday, acting Governor Apatang was joined by Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services Acting Commissioner Juan T. Pua, DFEMS personnel, and cabinet officials. Acting Governor Apatang expressed gratitude to DFEMS for their hard work and dedication in serving the community during times of emergency. He also urged citizens to observe the week with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities, as well as participate in educational and outreach programs on best practices for pediatric medical care. “Let’s all support our emergency medical services and help spread awareness about this vital service!” he said.
