GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres on Thursday approved two local measures allotting funds for Rota scholars and dialysis patients.
House Local Bill 22-39 is now Rota Local Law 22-11 while H.L.B. 22-40 is now R.L.L. 22-12. Both measures were introduced by Rep. Donald Manglona.
R.L.L. 22-11 allocates $24,500 in Rota Municipal Scholarship Reserve funds for student scholarships and housing assistance, while R.L.L. 22-12 allocates $10,000 in poker licensing fees for Rota’s hemodialysis and terminally ill patients.
The expenditure authority for the $24,500 will be the chair of the Rota Municipal Scholarship Foundation Board, while the expenditure authority for the $10,000 will be the Finance secretary.
