Kids flocks to PRR’s annual Christmas tree lighting

More than 200 people from all walks of life flocked to the PRR lobby on Saturday to grace the lighting of the Christmas Tree.

The children accompanied by their parents were all delighted to see Santa Claus played by a local staff who declined to be identified. He is working at PRR’s Bell service department.Santa came at the last part of the program with his leigh. He was mobbed by the crowd.Parents and children posed for a souvenir pictures with Santa.The Christmas Tree was lighted by Vice President Elias Camsek Chin,  Taiwan Ambassador Maggie Tien, Japan’s Charge de Affaires Kunio Nakamura,  High Chief Rafael Reklai and High Chief Yutaka Gibbons and Jessie Tsai, PRR’s Delegates of Board Comptroller.Chin who came with his wife thanked the PRR for making the event possible for the community to enjoy.The participants of the PRR’s first Christmas Tree Decoration contest also came and were given plaques of appreciation by the management.Principals and some students of Koror Elementary School, Meyuns, Maris Stella and Headstart were there to accept their prizes and their plaques of appreciation.The winners of the 5-8 years-old category are Milan Joshua Baysa of the Maris Stella Elementary School, first prize; Shane Abellera, Maris Stella, second prize; Danielle Katrina Paulo, Headstart, third prize.The winners of the 9-12 years-old category are CJ Koly Miray of George B Harris Elementary School, first prize; Chloe Yano, Maris Stella; second; Marbou Burton, third prize, Koror Elementary School.The winners got gift certificates, t-shirts and plaques.Children Sacred Heart Choir and PRR Employee Choir provided entertainment for the audience.
