Personnel of the Koror state government distributed three bulbs to each residence in exchange for incandescent bulbs.
Nyk Kloulubak, energy planner for the Palau Energy Office, said that they will distribute 20,000 energy saving lights to all residential areas.The project is funded by the European Union and aims to educate the public about energy efficient technology and reduce the country’s overall energy consumption.Kloulubak said the campaign will be a testament to this nation’s dedication and will to make a difference in the ongoing battle against climate change or global warming.
