7 schools tapped for Youth Congress poll

LB Director Glenna SP. Reyes said the election will be held at the Saipan Southern High School’s counseling office from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Grace Christian Academy chapel from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; Kagman High School counseling office from     7:45 am. to 1:45 p.m.; Marianas Baptist Academy’s media room from    12:10 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.; Rota High School library from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tinian Jr./Sr. High School cafeteria from     12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; and Marianas High School     home room     from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

The LB earlier disclosed that nine youths from seven NMI schools were vying for seats in the 13th Youth Congress: Mercedes Mesa of Kagman High School; Shelane Dela Cruz Borja of Saipan Southern High School; Thomas H. Barcinas of Rota High School; Mariana S. Quitugua of Rota High School; Angela H. Mamaril of Grace Christian Academy; Jessica Lee and Manatsu E. Omori of Marianas Baptist Academy; Audrey Joy Ada of Marianas High School and Marquina M. Hofschneider of Tinian Junior/Senior High School.

The results will be verified by principals and certified by House Floor Leader George N. Camacho, Ind.-Saipan, three days after the election.

The elected youth senators will assume office on April 17.

Reyes said the total registered voters for the 13th Youth Congress election was 1,114 including the candidates.
