The motion to dismiss and order was filed in favor of Tang Yue Xin, who last year, along with another masseuse, was charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance and trafficking of a controlled substance.
The AGO “does not believe it has sufficient evidence to meet its burden, and therefore, the commonwealth believes it is in the interest of justice that the charges brought forth in this matter be dismissed with prejudice,” wrote Assistant Attorney General Tiberius D. Mocanu in his motion filed on April 4.
Based on court documents, the two women were arrested last year after police received information they were selling methamphetamine or ice.
Police found in defendant Li Ping Zhou’s possession a ziplock bag containing ice in two rolled up tissue when they made an arrest at their barracks in As Lito.
Zhou told the police she got the ice from Tang, which she denied.
