Winzy, through attorney Mark Scoggins, has asked the District Court for the NMI for an award of unspecified damages that include pre/post judgment interest, and attorney’s fees.
The lawsuit did not demand a jury trial.
According to the lawsuit, Winzy, in the early part of 2020, entered into an agreement with IPI to provide supervision and consulting services for the Saipan casino project.
Scoggins said the agreement is a binding and enforceable contract between Winzy and IPI.
“Winzy performed under the terms of the agreement in good faith, and in a good and workmanlike manner,” the lawyer said.
IPI, however, has failed to pay the amounts owed under the agreement totaling $162,925, he added.
He said IPI has breached the agreement with Winzy to Winzy’s damage; and in the alternative, IPI is unjustly enriched by the services that Winzy provided to IPI.
The lawsuit was filed on Oct. 30, 2020.
