ARRA office urges community to visit Web site

In an interview, ARRA Program Director Geri Willis said the Web site contains all of the necessary information the public needs to know about the federal stimulus program.

“We try to keep our Web site, www.cnmiarra.net, updated by uploading any new information, developments and other concerns as soon as possible,” Willis said.

The ARRA Web site contains a list of opportunities like projects and job openings, including the necessary requirements and qualifications.

Companies or individuals can upload application forms or submit requests and proposals.

The site also keeps an updated record of certifications, resources and accountabilities; an avenue for opportunity inquiry, as well as contact numbers and addresses.

This makes it convenient for the community to send inquiries, comments or suggestions, Willis said.

“We encourage everybody to browse our Web site because the ARRA programs are for all of us,” she added.

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial earlier issued a memorandum to all agencies that have projects, programs and positions funded under the ARRA through the governor’s office to post announcements on the ARRA Web site in compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements of the federal law.
