Sablan told the Variety their office is also hosting Walk on Wednesday, also known as WOW, every Wednesday starting at 4:30 p.m.
The assembly point is on Beach Road and the first 20 adult participants to complete the walk will get free T-shirts donated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The first 50 children to complete the walk will also receive a small “goodie” packet.
Sablan said every community member should help promote mental health which is very essential to one’s overall physical and emotional well-being.
The Community Guidance Center, the Coalition for Anti-Stigma of Mental Illness-CNMI, the Northern Marianas Protection & Advocacy Systems Inc. are collaborating with other advocacy groups in observing Mental Health Awareness Month this May.
