Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja allowed Pedro, 46, to travel on Sept. 6, 2011, and to return to Saipan on Sept. 15, 2011.
The court directed Pedro to surrender her passport 24 hours after her return to Saipan.
Pedro must attend her change of plea hearing on Sept. 19.
Police arrested Pedro for slapping and pulling the hair of her son on the early morning of July 2, 2011.
In 2003, Pedro admitted the charge of assault and battery of a family member, for which the local court imposed a suspended one-year sentence, and placed her on one year probation.
In 2001, Pedro was convicted of disturbing the peace, and was placed on six months probation.
