The Public Defender’s Office asked the court to allow Nekaifes to post $50, or 10 percent of the bail, order, and be released to a third party custodian.
Assistant Attorney General Peter Prestley said Nekaifes “has a long criminal record including many convictions for assault and battery. Furthermore, he has a recent history of harassing and threatening the victims in this case. In the most recent episode, defendant threatened to kill the victims.
Defendant…poses a serious danger to the community.”
Nekaifes, according to the victims, has “a tendency to drink a lot and become violent, showing up at the house, shouting and threatening to hurt them.”
The Attorney General’s Office charged Nekaifas with three counts of assault, and two counts of disturbing the peace.
