Criminal justice students disappointed with Leon Guerero

Leon Guerrero, a detective, was the guest speaker of their class last month.

He discussed his job as an investigator and the importance of goodwill, dedication and humility.

The student said Leon Guerero claimed that he earned $64,000 a year “because of his dedication.”

Leon Guerrero told students that law enforcers should not accept bribes.

He has been indicted for taking bribes from illegal taxi operators.

Other students interviewed by this reporter said they were shocked to find out that he was arrested.

Leon Guerrero, they said, told them his colleagues called him “Superman.”

“Superman is a hero and not a villain,” an NMC student said.
