(PR/Hagåtña, Guam) – The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) is inviting residents to join the Talo’fo’fo Village Outreach Event on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jeromy Newby Community Youth Center.
Talo’fo’fo Village Outreach
Families are encouraged to come, learn, and take advantage of free education, information, and on-site services designed to promote healthier living.
Our DPHSS & Partner Services Available:
· Immunizations are for children 2 months to 18 years old who are enrolled with Medicaid, MIP or has No Insurance.
· DTaP, IPV, Hep B, Hep A, Hib, Prevnar, MMR, Tdap, Td, MCV, HPV, Annual Flu (While supplies last)
· TB (PPD) skin tests will not be offered, it not a vaccine
· FREE Physical Exams for Adults and Children
· Education on Diabetes, Tobacco, and Hypertension
· Program Eligibility Assessment on the following:
· Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program
· Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program
· Information and General Assistance on the following:
· Vital Statistics (Marriage, Birth, and Death Certificates)
· Mental Health and Primary Care Services offered at the Community Health Centers
· Aging Programs – Title III Home and Community Based Services
· Doula Services by the Bureau of Women’s Affairs
What to bring for Immunizations:
· Child’s birth certificate
· Child’s current shot record
· Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. If accompanied by another adult, legal documentation or written authorization from the parent is required.
· Parent, guardian, or authorized adult’s valid photo ID
Why It Matters:
This event continues DPHSS’s Village Outreach Initiative, a community-centered effort to meet residents where they are and make health and wellness services more accessible. By working alongside village mayors and local partners, DPHSS aims to ensure that every resident has the chance to receive care, ask questions, and stay informed.
Looking Ahead:
While this marks the final outreach of the year, DPHSS will continue the momentum into 2026. The next Village Outreach announcement is expected in February, where residents can look forward to another round of free health and social services.
