Forty-five baskets were given to the patients confined at the hospital while the rest went to emergency room patients and outpatients.
WAO special assistant Remedio Buniag said nurses also received fruit baskets.
She said they did not have any Thanksgiving message to the people and the patients who received the baskets, but Mrs. Fitial “greeted everyone with a smile and a ‘Happy Thanksgiving.’ ”
“It is so heartwarming to see that Mrs. Fitial remains down to earth,” one of the nurses said in an interview.
