Joeten-Kiyu library executive director John O. Gonzales told the Variety that the free health seminars will be held at the library from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on July 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4.
The topic on July 14 will be on Diabetes 101 while the topic on July 21 will be on nutrition.
For July 28, the topic will be on exercise and the final topic on Aug. 4 will be on medication.
“We would like to invite everybody to come and avail of these free seminars because these can help a lot in living healthy lives,” Gonzales said.
He said these topics are very helpful especially for people who need a lifestyle change.
The free health seminars are made possible though a collaborative partnership among PHI Pharmacy, Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, the Commonwealth Diabetes Coalition, and the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
Gonzales said healthy refreshments will be served during the seminars.
