THE fuel prices on Tinian and Rota went down Thursday and Friday, respectively, following Tuesday’s price rollback on Saipan.
Tinian Fuel Services reduced its regular gas price to $7.069 a gallon from $7.159 a gallon, and its diesel price to $7.419 a gallon from $7.509 a gallon. Tinian Fuel Services also clarified that prior to the previous rollback last week, their regular gas price was $7.259 a gallon and not $7.489 a gallon as earlier reported, and their diesel price was $7.609 a gallon and not $7.85 a gallon as earlier reported.
On Rota, Calvo Enterprises is reducing its regular gas price effective today, Friday, to $6.54 a gallon from $6.64 a gallon, and diesel price to $9.87 a gallon from $9.97 a gallon. According to a Calvo Enterprise gas attendant, their supply arrived on Thursday.
On Saipan, Mobil Oil Marianas and Shell Marianas reduced their fuel prices by 10 cents on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Regular gas now retails at $5.169 a gallon; premium gas at $5.619 a gallon; and diesel at $5.339 a gallon.
According to Reuters, global oil benchmark Brent crude futures settled at their lowest level since December 2021 on Tuesday after OPEC+ revised down its demand forecast for this year and 2025, offsetting supply concerns from Tropical Storm Francine.
