Designated Federal Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood ordered on Friday Teregeyo’s transfer to the District Court of Hawaii after he was arrested in Honolulu for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Teregeyo’s probation will continue until 2013, court records showed.
“This court hereby expressly consents that the period of probation on supervised release may be changed by the District Court for which this transfer is made without further inquiry of this court,” Tydingco-Gatewood wrote in her order.
Teregeyo was pulled over for an illegal U-turn on Feb. 27 and the Hawaii deputy sheriff who arrested him noticed that he was drunk.
A sobriety test followed and he tested positive for alcohol use.
During an interview, Teregeyo told a U.S. probation officer that he drank only two beers, which was still a violation of his probation terms.
Separately, Tydingco-Gatewood ordered that the records and jurisdiction on Ya Yun Liu who was convicted in the CNMI of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as ice, be moved to the District Court of Guam.
