Four other ballet dancers will arrive today from Japan.
Glushko Academy of Performing Arts president Dr. Gene Sylvester Eagle-Oden said they are expecting to surpass last year’s attendance which reached over 700 for the two-night show.
The event will also highlight the talents of the 60 students of prima ballerina Anna E. Glushko, instructor/choreographer of the Glushko’s Academy of Performing Arts.
They will perform with the 10 international stars during the ballet concert.
The performers who arrived yesterday were the Russian couple Alexy Nasadovich and Margarita Rudina, the brother and sister tandem Asami and Keitsuki Takai of Japan, Korea’s Shin Heesu, 13, and Lee Seung Hyun, 16.
Nasadovich and Rudina performed here last year but it will be the first time for the other visitors performers.
The local students will perform with the international ballet artists on the evening of Dec. 4 and 6, with each ticket priced at $10 for children and $15 for adults.
On Dec. 5, a special performance is set for a cocktail show and only the professionals will perform. Tickets are $35 each inclusive of one cocktail.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
“We encourage everyone to get their tickets early from Shell outlets and Shirley’s in Garapan, or at the door on the show dates,” Eagle-Oden said. For more information call 473-6271.
