Visiting Presiding Judge Mark W. Bennett of the Northern District of Iowa granted on Monday the motion of defendants Li Hua Yi and Ping Ping Zhang to file until April 30, 2010.
Li Hua Yi and Pingping Zhang, together with Zhanshan Zhang, Shixu Huang, and Jingfan Zhang were arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Their jury trial will start on June 1, 2010.
Jingfan Zhang has been placed on three months of probation by the federal court after he pleaded guilty early this month to eluding examination and inspection.
The rest of the defendants have denied the charges.
