Sr. Marie May and Sister Joanne McMahon will leave Yap on Dec. 29 to return back to the Maryknoll Center in New York. Sr. Marie May has been in Yap for 48 years, longer than Sr. Joanne McMahon who has been here for over 36 years.
The Maryknoll sisters’ departure from Yap will end a 57-year presence of long-term involvement in this part of the Microneisan region.
