Task force block captain Sebastian Tajibmai said the cooperation of the community members has deterred criminality in their village.
Most members of the task force are also involved in other community development projects and church organizations, he said.
“We are like invisible but the village knows we exist,” he told task force members during their recent meeting.
Tajibmai said their group is actively involved in different community events like beach cleanups.
“We are also closely collaborating with the parish pastoral council whose members are also with the task force,” he added.
The task force is now working to install billboards in the village.
Sgt. Vicente H. Sablan, task force chairman, also suggested the distribution of stickers that state: “This house is protected by the Neighborhood Watch Task Force.”
The intention, he said, is to make the people aware that the task force is serious in its campaign against criminality.
Sablan said they continue to get recognition for theirs effort to maintain peace and order in the villages.
