The new deadline is Wednesday next week.
Each of the 10 selected students will be given a $1,000 scholarship grant, which they can use for this semester or until the spring semester of 2010.
To be eligible, an applicant must be a U.S citizen and/or a green card holder, must be enrolled and is a student of NMC, has a high school or college cumulative GPA of 2.5, is seeking an academic degree during the semester when the scholarship is awarded, and must write an essay stating why he or she deserves the scholarship.
In other news, NMC will celebrate its accreditation reaffirmation on campus today.
The new officers of the Associated Students of NMC will also be inaugurated.
